Synopsis

This title has sold 1,300 copies of the first edition and the first reprint, the PDF file has been downloaded 4,102 times, it has been visited 14,751 times and 302,986 pages have been viewed. This situation has motivated us to develop this second edition, including new chapters such as: underground water bodies, wastewater, air, mites, algae, spiders, as well as soil macroinvertebrates and earthworms, evaluation of cartographic databases, methods of spatial interpolation and geostatistics. Others have been updated, such as: introduction to the design and analysis of population sampling, climate, soils, birds and mammals, flora and vegetation, terrestrial insects, weeds, social accounting matrix for towns or villages, physical productivity of corn plots, systems of geographic information and remote sensing. With this new structure of the book, the aim is to improve the skills of undergraduate and graduate students in the generation of information on environmental aspects, organisms, agroecosystems and the management of geographic information and that this results in a better management of the natural resources for the benefit of human populations.
