The product of four years of work, the map offers the spatial distribution of the physical-geographical landscapes of Mexico at a scale of 1:500,000. The legend that accompanies it includes the definition of the geocomplexes at five regional typological taxonomic levels: class, subclass , group, subgroup and landscape species. In the lower units, 99 subgroups and 819 species of physical-geographical landscapes were identified, for the entire national territory.
This publication seeks to provide a basic tool for understanding the spatial distribution and landscape peculiarities of the country.
