Synopsis

The map offers the spatial distribution of the physical-geographic landscapes of the state of Chiapas at a scale of 1: 250,000.

The legend includes the definition of geocomplexes in five typological taxonomic levels:

To classes
b) Subclasses
c) Locality
d) Complex Site
e) Simple Site

The results indicate that there are 6 Classes, 19 Subclasses, 118 Localities, 181 Complex Sites and 450 Simple Sites in the territory, with a large predominance of geocomplexes of tectonic - karst genesis and intrusive tectonic; although volcanic, fluvial, lake and marine-terrigenous geosystems are also present, among others.
