La Región como categoría geográfica

The concept of Region is a category of Geography through which spatial differences and individual features of territories and places are expressed. It is also an interdisciplinary category, firmly rooted in contemporary social consciousness, so it is a concept that is widely used in various fields of knowledge, and is a reference for political and economic endeavors; It allows not only to integrate Geography, but also to "geographize" a wide range of sciences.
In this text it is intended to analyze how the Region has been approached from different geographical currents, as well as to make a balance of the state of the regional approach in Geography at the current moment of development of the discipline.
