Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined below in the Guidelines for Authors.
  • Iconography (graphs, tables, and images) is also cited, free of copyright conflicts, and (preferably) numbered.
  • All the iconography elements in the shipment (graphics, tables, images) are sent in the best possible quality: the elements, texts and colors are correctly distinguished. In those cases in which the element is not suitable, graphic adaptations have been made with restriction by rights of use or the elements have been located to request an adaptation or reworking to the design provider in later stages of production.
  • A person responsible for the publication is designated, who will be in charge of following the editorial guidelines of the CIGA Editorial (he will give unification, format and care to the documents that he sends), and will be involved with the publication according to his role (author/ a, coordinator, editor) in addition to supporting the collection of transfers of rights, data sheets and various procedures related to the publication.
  • All documents for publication (document for publication and attachments such as metadata, URL, etc.) are added. An editable version is also sent, if possible (for example, in Microsoft Word format).

Author Guidelines

To send your documents for publication to Editorial CIGA, it is necessary to pay attention to the following minimum criteria for receiving manuscripts that are about to be published:


All documents for publication (document for publication and attachments such as metadata, URL, etc.) are added. An editable version is also sent, if possible (for example, in Microsoft Word format).


The publication is unified and well organized:


The hierarchy of titles and subtitles is well defined in each of the parts or articles that compose it. The same styles or numbering are used where appropriate.


It is suggested to use a sequential numbering:
1. Main Title
1.1 Secondary theme
1.2 Secondary theme


The documents in the submission have the same styles for displaying paragraphs, footnotes, chart headers or footers, as well as for tables, lists, and other elements.


The documents in the submission have a consistent structure in all its articles, chapters or parts that compose it, for example, in support materials for teachers that have activities, it is preferred that these have a uniform structure throughout the book, which have a brief description or objectives, materials, development and conclusions.


The publication in the submission shows a consistent critical apparatus, preferably in APA sixth edition style.


The proposed text has other characteristics that facilitate its internal evaluation and the
future editorial production process:

 

We certify that the documents in the submission are the work of our intellectual property and that those ideas that are not ours have been properly cited. Likewise, the documents in the submission have not been previously published, or an explanation is extended to the CIGA Editorial Committee about any previous publication of these same documents. (That is, there is no plagiarism or self-plagiarism of any kind).
